Pastor and Mrs. Edward Alinyoh
This is the first church, ever established by a Sierra Leonean born, growing rapidly in the United States as it spreads the word of God. The Lord is constantly using the founder, Pastor Edward Alinyoh to preach and interpret the scripture, convert souls as they repent, and bless them abundantly through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Four year period is not enough time for the average person to establish a ministry unless that individual is multitalented and has a good work ethics like pastor Alinyoh. Pastor Alinyoh is like a surgeon, administering the scripture with such eloquence that sedates a lost soul. He does vocal and plays the piano simultaneously. During the week, he offers counseling to his flock.
Pastor Alinyoh migrated from Norway and started a prayer group in the Sierra Leonean community in Atlanta, Georgia in 2005. He started off on rocky grounds, regaining members in the community and rebuilding their confidence after they have lost hopes in a former Sierra Leonean pastor acting unethically to members of his congregation. What sets Pastor Alinyoh's ministry apart is the fact that there is no prophecy and no special or holy bathing for protection or luck of any kind; he only offers prayer to those who seek divine grace amidst his congregation in the temple with the aid of his lay preachers in humility at no charge.
God is surely manifesting Himself among the members of his congregation as He adorns them with the different gifts of talent. Referencing the Book of Acts chapter 2, it never came as a surprise when a twelfth grader named Abie Musa rose on her feet and spoke eloquently, appealing to the congregation to donate can food to a family displaced by flood that is now sleeping in the family vehicle; notwithstanding the twelve year old, Amie Jigba who set up on the altar and flawlessly played Christmas carols with her violin, flabbergasting last Sunday worshipers as the church came down in applause. Now, did anyone ask the question, "Can a good thing come out of the Sierra Leonean Community?" Yes of course, a lot of good things can come out of the Sierra Leone community. Remember, the Scripture tells us in the Book of Proverbs, "There is no respecter of person in the sight of God."
Among other departments created are: Sunday school, a choir, Usher board, Youth Ministry, Women\'s ministry, and Elders' Council.
Seek Ye First the Kingdom International ministry, Atlanta, Georgia is Ecclesiastical in teaching, Ecumenical in ministry - a non denominational congregation, which leaves its doors open to all mankind to seek God. Thus said, the Lord, "Whosoever will, let him come."
